Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2026

Clavier is a typing practice app run by Sigfred Larot, based in the Philippines. Using Clavier means you agree to the terms below. They're written in plain English so you can actually read them.

What Clavier is

Clavier is a typing trainer with lessons, games, drills, and progress tracking. The core experience — solo typing, lessons, games, and your own stats — is free and works offline. Some features (live multiplayer, leaderboards, AI coach, advanced analytics, cross-device cloud sync) require a paid subscription called Clavier Pro.

Your account

You can use Clavier without an account. To use cloud features, you sign in with email (we send you a one-tap link) or with Google. Keep access to your email or Google account safe — that's how you sign in.

You can have one cloud account per email. Don't pretend to be someone else. Don't sell, share, or transfer your account.

Pro subscriptions

Pro is billed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record. That means Lemon Squeezy handles your payment, your receipt, sales tax / VAT where applicable, and any refund request. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that billing period.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your Clavier account or from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal — your Pro features stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Refunds

If you want a refund, contact us at hello@useclavier.com within 14 days of your most recent payment and we'll process it through Lemon Squeezy, no questions asked. After 14 days we look at refunds case-by-case.

Acceptable use

Don't do things that hurt the service or other users. In plain terms:

Ending your account

You can delete your account any time by emailing hello@useclavier.com. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your Pro subscription for abuse, we don't refund the unused portion.

What we promise (and don't)

We work hard to keep Clavier running smoothly, but we provide it "as is" — we don't promise it's bug-free, that it will be available every second of every day, or that your data will never be lost. To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost time, missed leaderboard positions, etc.). If we're ever found liable, the most we owe you is the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes to these terms

If we change anything material, we'll email registered users and update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Clavier after a change means you accept the new terms.
